Billing rate = 2 to 2.5 times hourly rate paid to staff, for good clients. Bulk hour discounts are available.
Why?
Overhead. As a consulting / service person, you need to expect to spend one hour looking for work or doing admin work, for each hour billed out. That is the way the business is.
Using that cut rate guide, you are billing your services out at $25 per hour. That is low for a person with any type of expertise. The guy doing it at $16 isn't making minimum wage. Are you worth more than minimum wage? Well, based on results, yes you are. |
