You get that if you ghost a drive to a different sized drive (or at least, I do). I'm sure there are a myriad of other ways to b0rk it. Right now, I'm looking for the simplest possible howto on replacing LILO with grub on an otherwise-working dual-boot machine. I can boot into WinXP (ugh!) and from CD into Knoppix, but LILO hangs afte a half-dozen dots trying to load Debian.
