          You said 3 groups. by Naruki2004-07-12 11:31:32
Wow, what a useless reply. :-p by Ravenlock 2004-07-12 11:42:00
I originally broke it into three groups yesterday, yes. Historically, "predestination", "salvation by works" and "salvation by faith" have been the three major ways of getting to Heaven in Christianity that I am aware of. Of those, 2 of 3 do not believe your "good = Heaven, sin = Hell" statement.

I clarified today that as far as I've been able to see (attending services regularly from 3 different Protestant denominations as well as Catholic mass over the last several years), "salvation by works" no longer exists by itself in most teaching, so even that "group" no longer believes "good = Heaven, sin = Hell" in the strict sense, and has become something of another group.

I called them group 4 only to signify that some stragglers are still around who believe your characterization of "most" Christiams. But they certainly are not "most."
