So I'm clicking on this text-only ad, 'cuz I like what it says, and I keep getting a "connection refused" message from Firefox.

I peruse the link a little closer.

Hmm... ad.doubleclick.net? Why does that ring a ... oh.

In my hosts file (since work doesn't allow me to install software, but, paradoxically, allows me to modify system files!), I've redirected ad.doubleclick.net to 127.0.0.1.

Stupid me. :) No wonder Firefox can't find it...
