What on earth did you DO?

And, more importantly, are you sure that it's configured in the boot order before the hard drive in your BIOS? (It seems to be the norm for this to NOT be the case these days - which makes a degree of sense, as it shaves seconds (and drive noise/wear) off of the zillions of not-from-floppy boots that modern machines see.)
