| Stencil print is a picture made from images |

created by stencilling (cut out image from thick paper/plastic, use dabber to colour in the image). The one I am thinking of would be a pastiche of coloured other images forming an Inuit hunter.
This is a limited time offer as the print is available through an art show, and was good enough to be in an all-Nunavut show. It is on black paper and can be framed later by you.
The art will be from Rankin Inlet, where they have just formed a stencil printmaking group. This is a unique opportunity to get in on some of the very first prints made by a new Inuit art group. Other printmaking people are from Cape Dorset (simple print would be around $350 in Cape Dorset -$800 in a southern gallery-) or Pangnirtung (prints available at around $350 to $500). It would come with a provenance of authenticity that should stay with the art as it would be what the Antiques Road Show guys would be looking at 25 years from now.
Note that all prces quoted are in CANADIAN Dollars (current exchange rate $100 C gets you around $73 US). So, up to around $100 US would get you something decent, along with me giving you an explanation of what the image means.
You would not be expected to send money until it has arrived into your hands. Then send money order or some such to the return address. I will trust you on payment.
NOTE: Special offer to dire lobo only. Not putting out my money for every other Tom Dick or Harry out there. Others might ask, .... we'll see. |
