| There is only *one* way in which tea should be treated. Brewed,in a prewarmed, ceramic (*not silver*) teapot (preferably brown). One spoonfull of tealeaves for each person,one for the pot,and one for Our Lord (that was my grannie's formula. She liked her tea strong). Brew for 30 seconds to 2 minutes,depending on tea blend (I prefer Twinings English Breakfast myself, but each to his own), gently stirred (deosil always, never widdershins), allowed to settle, then poured. I eschew debate on the great milk first or tea first debate. If you add milk (or anything else) to the tea you are a barbarian. And *never* wash the teapot using soap! |
