While writing a nice long email to my father, I notice the screen suddenly needs degaussing. Before I can reach the Menu button, the image slowly starts shrinking horizontally. After about five seconds, the image is now only two inches wide. From the back of the monitor comes the sound of an exploding capacitor. POP! Smoke that smells of silicon puffs out of the grill on top. The monitor is hereby dead.
