Why did the FAA sign off on the change? Just because my wife works for AS, doesn't mean I don't think they're to blame. Just wondering where the checks and balances were (If my wife hadn't been visiting me, there was a good chance she'd have been on that flight. For 2 days we thought a friend of hers was. Turned out her mum was ill and she took the first flight out that day instead. Thanks to anonymous customers at a pub near Salisbury Cathederal for their support when she found out one of 'her' planes went down, and eternal hatred to my mother in law for telling my wife all the graphic details just before her flight from LHR back to SEA)
