I happened to run a script on a remote computer (Redhat 9), which managed to do "rm -Rf" on something. I'm not sure what exactly, but I'm sure it removed a lot of things, including "ls", "rpm" "rm" itself and other things.
And I guess I need to mention I was root at the time.
So ... I can't go over there now, but I wonder if there's a way to remotely reinstall Linux completely.
Also without rebooting if possible, as I don't know if it will boot if I reboot, and I may be without a server for a while... |
