Cambie is a dim idea as it will be vastly more expensive to go that route. The Arbutus line already has a rail line over which the ALRT could be installed at a very reasonable cost (compared to tunnelling or elevating the line down Cambie). As well, with the Arbutus line, you have the right of way avoiding the steep hills that would be a problem at the foot of Cambie.
