I will be going to orientation at MSU tomorrow, and registering for courses Friday morning. I have access to the course schedule planning system, but not the course scheduling system itself. Students who are not in the honors college have been given the ability to register for courses before orientation, but honors college students aren't allowed this because we have the option of taking honors sections of the courses.
So I've been playing with the schedule planning system, and I've discovered that the lab segments for several classes it's important for me to take my freshman year, like physics and organic chemistry 1 are already all filled. No problem, right, just take the honors section instead? Except oops! there is no honors section of organic chemistry, and the honors section of physics requires math I've not had.
This SERIOUSLY screws up my plans to get my undergrad stuff done in two years... physics and organic chem 1 are both prereqs for other things, and, although the honors college students are allowed to waive prereqs, I doubt I'd do very well in organic chemistry 2 without having taken organic chemistry 1.
*Flings poo at whoever decided to deny honors college students access to the early registration option*
