HELP!!!Computer fry alert by nobius 2004-06-23 11:41:12
ok...computer keeps giving me "BIOS" Bad checksum error
already replaced battery, went to manufacturer's site (tyan by the way, model #s1854) found the right bios chip data (award bios) and tried to go through their procedures for flashing. every time i try not only does bootblock return "insert system disk" IT TANKS THE DISK. i am at a loss here....and i cant afford the $70US to have the local pro look at it....any suggestions on what i should try next?
