I want to interface a standard PS/2 keyboard to a PIC, so I've been looking up a load of stuff about them. In many situations you can completely ignore the 'release' scancodes to be honest - autorepeat happens regardless. Only thing I can think of off-hand is games where you hold down a key to continue moving, or you need to be able to press more than one key simultaneously. Scancodes
