That's got to have issues all it's own.... I was in West Philadelphia. Campus and a few blocks around it were OK, but further than that, you were in a pretty bad neigborhood. I had a few "learning experiences" before I figured out where I could go safely and at what times. Hopefully, there will be older students on campus that can help you find your feet. Just don't get distracted by all the lazy students that just want to party (that was my problem. That, and High School was completely unchallenging for me, so I got out of the habit of studying and having to work hard to learn stuff). But I also went to college in 1975, so things were probably very different than they are now.
