My parents tried to use money to make me behave in a certain way. I, however, could manage to get the cash from them without strings. Took some learning and doing, but I learned and did. Thing is Mom wanted to give me money, and I had to convince her that I was old enough to know what I needed to spend it on (it wasn't always her first choice). OK, I was 30 at the time... <G>
