Buy they were selling big capacitors (1 and 2 Farads!). Their stated purpose was to support the sudden current drain high power amplifier systems can put on a vehicle's electrical system. Now, these would be a little hard to hide in a case since they were about the size of 2 12-oz soda cans stacked on top of each other...
