Next time tell your mum to wait a moment and that you'll show her some places or get her the name of a good place to go. Some places will let you borrow their system(well not take it home but use it for research and stuff while there). You can use libraries at least in canada to do this.(net surfing and such is for free here via that where I am) There are also net cafe's and such that would do things or some places do faxing and copying. But I know it's frustrating when people are either impatient or don't listen... :(
