My mother, bless her heart, doesn't want to wait till the weekend for me to fit her a new (s/h) motherboard because she needs it asap so she went to a repair company who told her the whole base unit was dead and that it needed a new case, PSU and motherboard which is BS it's only the mobo. They gave her a second hand motherboard and case, fitted it all and charged her £40 for parts and £40 for labour. It's an old PII 400Mhz... She could have bought an NEW PC for £215 from the shop down the road. ARGH! And what makes it all so much worse is that it's my fault that the mobo was fried anyway! Double ARGHH!
