It _always_ seems like the old days were better (unless you had a crappy childhood). You've been indoctrinated by older generations your whole life to believe it wasn't that bad in their day. But it's not true. The average distribution hasn't really changed. I've always been sick of that phrase. What the hell did I do to become an American? The only ones who should be proud of that accomplishment are those who passed their citizenship tests. The rest of us are just lucky we aren't Iraqi or North Korean.
