The media can make the most money from showing the 'evil' ones, because they're the ones that the public want to see (so that they can generally whine about how bad the world is, feel superior, etc. etc.). Which is not to say that it's not hell over there, just that you won't get media coverage for calm days/areas where no-one dies.
