. . . but, in context of the comeback, getting the point would be more my wife's part.

Somehow, I suspect you realize I was just having a bit of a laugh at the perverse habit we
in the western world seem to have, of "dissing" those expected to command some respect, solely
as a perverse form of entertainment; but I probably should have marked my subject lne ':-l',
or something like, out of mercy for the irony-impaired.
