Dissing, say, Stephen Hawking isn't *nearly* as entertaining, probably due to the "glass house
effect" common in advanced cases of media exposure.

Just had to chime in, here, didn't I? Hoo boy!

I have to admit I have occasionally been annoyed by "TV Scientists(TM)" who happily oversimplify,
without admitting that they are doing so; and as I vaguely recall, I have caught Sagan doing the
same; but I have also seen him admit to using a simplified model, just to impart the "flavor" of a
concept. Somehow, I doubt anyone "bats 1000", in this department, but it still gets my notional
goat.
