She was kind enough to fly out on her own expense, but she had a dress from another wedding, and since she was my only bridesmaid, she wore that. (She was thrilled to be able to get two uses out of it :) She stayed at my house, and we covered all other costs. We also covered tux rental for the best man, since he lives in town no other costs there. I can't imagine making people I care about pay all that crap, and if I didn't care about them , why would I want them in my wedding?
