Only 4 days until KS and I leave to go on our by j.butterfly2004-05-11 09:33:53
hmm for bear by Celticess 2004-05-11 10:20:15
hopefully it's a black. I've never had issues with a blackbear and I've been within 20 ft of one once. Browns/grizzlies on the other hand tried to attack us once as kids and they seem I guess a bit more agressive.(most bear attacks I hear are those things not the blacks. I think black bears are more shy)

Moose I've only ever seen at the game farm. Their antlers feel weird... it was the ugliest baby creature I've come face to face with but it was so ugly it was cute/endearing.

Loon hmm I've heard them and caught a brief glimpse don't think I've ever really taken a good look at them. You may notice it's call but might miss it too. You may see hawks, eagles, and cranes tho. Oh and thease little finches that are bright yellow and black that look somewhat tropical.(my mom used to get them at the bird feeder all the time)

Big horned sheep I'm not sure what season they are visible. If you were near lillooet I'd say take a look at seaton lake as you see them climb the mountain side there not far from where the BC Rail train track was.(if that train ever comes back get Greg to take you on it... it's a beautiful trip througth squamish et al)

Yes please take pics... :) And if I remember right in some spots you cant see sunset same as here because of the mountains. But the golden sunsets on the Thompson River are very pretty. :)

Oh and you may see deer and also Lynx. Tho more likely a deer before a lynx as lynx are shy. But watch the trees along the side of the road on the drive up. Many of times thats how I've spotted the deer. Also marmots and chipmunks. :)
