System error 1240 has occurred.

The account is not authorized to log in from this station.
OK, so, according to a web page I found, this usually means that my client is sending encrypted passwords, but Samba only wants plain passwords. Right. I do know that Samba only wants plain passwords. OTOH, I went through the registry setting "enableplaintextpassword" to 1, but I still get this error.

Hmmm.....
