But the bar and the bartender want to make more money. Some bars (especialy some close to a campus) have $1 drink nights! those places are so full that it is almost impossible to move around, and completely impossible for the bartender to find out who is too drunk to get more. Also some "kids" get their own bottles of whiskey/vodka/whatever and "smuggle" those into the bars ... Some others just want to prove that they can, and drink a 750ml bottle of 80proof/40% stuff in one go! Then flush it with a beer or two, and off to the next bar. At one point they collaps and the ambulance can try to clean the mess.
