none of this matters! I hope I'm not disillusioning you horribly by revealing that? (; The only reason we discuss such things is because they're interesting. I suppose it would require a TLP to get the attention of the boardgoing Germans, though. Maybe I'll post one around rollover, and see what the case is.
Actually, I gave at least anecdotal evidence (via Urban Dictionary) that it's in the common parlance, and more reputable evidence from a (dead-tree-)published source that it is used that way among people who practice it as an Unusual Sexual Practice, who I don't really know how to refer to in short. Fetishists, maybe, but that might not be sufficiently broad.
As for psychology, the reason that the complex is given that name is because (disclaimer: I am not a psychologist) it was supposed to have developed from a childhood fear of castration, where castration is the loss of the penis. Are you disputing that? I'd love to see evidence, since I've noticed it's proven fairly hard to find much either way, at least from what I've come across so far. |
