If for some godforsaken reason you wanted a little rugrat to call your own, you could always adopt. As for doctors wanting to play god... find a new god ;) It worked for me after my old doctor wanted me to go on yet another round of antibiotics for an infection that causes no symptoms and I've had off and on for +6 years now. No thank you, save the antibotics for when I really need them.
