You have 3 options 1) Connection 2) Method 3) Speed 1) Will give yo uthe option of "Off", "Fax" and "Data" 2) Will give you the option of "USB" or "RS-232C(COM Port)" 3) Will give yo uthe option of "19200 bps", "115200 bps", "239400 bps" With the cable that they gave me you need to set the Method to RS-232C, not to USB. Another cable from a different seller is apparantly true USB, and will show up in the computer as the phone and not as a com port.
