there weren't WMDs in Iraq other than Hussein and similar unreliable sources. That, and Hussein continued to behave as if he did. Even the vaunted Israeli intelligence service believed Iraq still had WMDs. Face it, Bush wasn't the only one deceived by the Iraqi shell game. Your protestations aside, the invasion was launched based on what was thought to be reliable and confirmed information.

Of course if enormous stockpiles had been discovered in Iraq I'd be willing to bet that you would be among those claiming they were planted there to justify "Dumbya's" little war.
