You can yell and scream that the pretext was a fabrication all you want it won't change the fact that German, Russian, U.S., Israeli, and other intelligence agencies believed that Hussein had an active WMD program when the U.S. attacked. Hussein was playing a smoke and mirrors game and we called his bluff. As for the entire populace being against us that is also wrong. The violence in Iraq has been mostly contained in a small area called the Sunni Triangle. This is where Saddam had his base of power and where he went to great lengths to ensure these people were by and large treated better than the rest of the country. Of course they're upset, now the Shiite's in Basra and groups elsewhere will be considered equals.
