Hrm. Good call on MP2, though... by Ravenlock2004-04-12 08:08:57
I'm not saying MP2 was better than HL, by LionsPhil2004-04-12 08:14:53
Far Cry and Painkiller are the new... by Ravenlock 2004-04-12 08:22:31
winners in the physics department. Max Payne 2 was amazing, don't get me wrong (especially in bullet time after an explosion, when tables are flying past your head), but FC and Painkiller take it to a new level.

Which is appropriate, of course, their being newer games and all. But knocking apart a dock by driving a boat through it in Far Cry or watching a stake go through a zombie, carry it 6 feet and pin it to a wall in Painkiller... well, let's just say that I'd say complex physics engines are going to be the "must have" feature for a fun FPS, from now on. :-D
