Change "immobile" in that quote to "unusable" or "defenseless" or "ineffective" or whatever word will make you happy, but you know what they meant. Scissors beats paper because scissors cut paper and it would be very difficult for paper to damage scissors. Rock beats scissors because a rock can be smashed against scissors to break them and it would be very difficult for scissors to damage a rock. Rock beats paper because... ummm... well... we need to complete the circle for the game to work? Really, come on, Naruki. I'm sure your logical mind agrees that rock should beat paper.
