aorta weakness. I have never heard anything about grafts to fix that problem. Luckily I have never been a big fan of playing sports as I have always been told to limit playing sports (thankfully my brother did not get it, he loves to play sports).
That B-ball player may have it. I have seen that comercial, and now that I think about it it looks like he may have Marfans. That is one problem with Marfans, if you don't get tested there is almost no way of knowing you have it, and not just naturally tall and skinny.
The problem with a person with Marfans playing sports is that sports raise your blood pressure, putting more stress on the aorta, which if it is weakened due to Marfans is not a good thing as it is more likely to burst.
BTW, my aunt is a LD teacher, so I know the difference between mental retardation and LD. |
