re the aeortic weakness? Now a days I got told some they can graft. My moms mother died of an aeortic aneurism.(thing was the size of a grapefruit when it burst... startled the docs it got that big particularly as she was 87)
I have mild s curve scoliosis and it is heredtiary via my father. I was borderline for wearing casting and a brace. Luckily they left me be figuring I was nearly done my growing. My cousin wasn't so lucky and ended up in 4 yrs of treatment between casts and braces.
Yes I've heard of Abraham Lincon. I also wonder about that chinese dude in the nba. My son just thinks he's the coolest(and he loves that mac powerbook commercial too with mini me)... Anyways tho the region my sons dads family comes from typically has tall males(so they said anyways). Still being as tall as that player is makes me wonder. Alot of b ball players I hear don't find out til they suddenly take ill. Some kids don't find out til after they've collapsed and died. :(
Fragx = fragile x syndrome. It's a weak point on the x chromosome. Usually boys are most symptomatic and mothers carry the disease. But females can also have mild form of it I think. One kid I know was a twin and his sister a non affected carrier. The boy was just LD(not mentally retarded) but he also had features of Aspergers, ADHD, and Marfan's. There are a few other conditions which may have the ladel chest/tunnel chest but fragile X is one.(the behaviours and learning issues usually get it dx by/around school age via southern blot test) I forget if angleman syndrome or williams also has that. But fragx also have slightly lower set ears(might not be that noticable actually). But anyhoo a few have hyper extensible joints, may have poor motor issues, and also may have ladel chest.(pectus excavatum) My sons pectus was severe but it's doing something unusual and growing out a bit(not as deep as it was... I had to have his heart checked 2x and respitory before because of the extent). So he's not going to be having the corrective surgery. |
