You see if I'm near one of the walls in the house sometimes I can hear right near the outside wall of those two houses on either side of me. Normal speach volume when they are near their door or near their patio or near a window. I also can hear stuff on the bottom floor of this house sometimes. The fan sounds of my computer help drowned out the noise and sometimes I put on headphones and turn up music loud. It overloads my hearing and temp deafens my sensitivity when I take them off. But you know how we could hear karaoke for a bit on the floor below us? I could actually hear that up in my room and they didn't have it on loud. I can also hear my roommate exercising in the living room from up here. And it is bad enough it affects my insomnia. So with the summer activity thankfully with computer fans and room fans and blinds/curtains helping buffer it is just enough I can sleep.(tho on occasion I've had to take something to sleep because I can't from the noise or I get an earache... sensitive ears due to small tubes)
