I can just tell people that, "Sorry, I already made other plans. If you'd brought this up sooner..." And when I'm near a family situation where people are "being religious", I can leave the room/leave their company until they are done. And should my mother or another relative feel the need to lecture me for leaving, I will return the lecture since my religious beliefs deserve every bit as much respect as their's. Good luck to you, though. ;-)
