At least they do for my brother in-law. My other brother in-law didn't really have to worry about his parents much his first two years of Uni. They lived 13,000Km away at the time. Of course he lived with us for a year and a half. We left him alone for the most part. Rules in our house were simple. The main ones were: -If he wasn't going to come back to the house for the night let us know (this way we wouldn't worry if he didn't show up) -If you eat the last of something let us know
