Transfer after 2 years. by esbita 2004-04-05 13:02:08
Look. Cornell probably will have a fair amount of its "demographically favored" students flunk out/lose scholarships by freshman or sophomore year.

Keep up good grades at MSU or U of M, and you might be able to transfer to Cornell your junior year. You'll have two debt free or lower debt years of school done at least. The more specialized scholarships (for a given major) also tend to appear junior year, when your major choice is actually set. It's no guarantee you'll get money from Cornell or private sources, but it's worth a shot later on.

And with those scores, unless you get into drinking/drugs, you will do VERY well at the state schools.

P.S. have you looked into the honors programs at the state schools?

It's not the end of the world yet, I promise :)
