Perhaps you misspoke again? If it _was_ in the spelling jurisdiction, then his correction was justified. "Typos" are technically when you accidentally type something you didn't mean to type. They really aren't deliberately typing something that is incorrect, though most people try to excuse such mistakes by calling them typos. In any event, he could not know which it was, so had to make a best guess. Since it could go either way, he chose to tackle it rather than waiting for the Grammar Nazi to show up (the Grammar Nazi can handle everything).
