Clustering question for Mac and BSD ufies by talon0720 2004-04-05 08:12:44
I know I've posted this a few times, but here I go again. I've googled some, and haven't found any sites that offer a clear answer for this yet, but:
Mac OSX is based on BSD, could a Mac on OSX cluster with PCs running BSD of an equivanlent BSD kernel? or is the Mac OSX kernel too tweaked? Does the MPI for BSD clustering pass messages, commands, whatever it passes, that are op-code specific? Curious cause I thought it would be cool to cluster my iMac to 3-4 PCs. Otherwise, it'll be a 3-4 PC cluster.
