Leiranyl's national animal is the sea otter, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the blade. They were never meant to live in forests! They should be frolicking in the sea! As for the currency, that sounds like an euphemism for having martial law -- aquiring goods and services by the blade. (:
