Thought part of the idea of special loans to veterans would have been a relaxation of such requirements -- since after all, their income is exactly what their veteran pension is, presumably.
This is a bigger issue than just discriminating against same-sex couples, then, since veterans with other non-marital cohabitation situations would have the same problem, eh? Seems like lack of forethought in drafting the applicable law to begin with -- and, naturally, the usual inertia preventing anyone from going to the effort of correcting things. Bleh. |
