Randon Bill Gates-borg anecdote by nix 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Today, my crypto class had Tom Keenan (big-time tech guru) as a guest lecturer. I think he was talking about ethics. Towards the end of the class, he brought up nanotechnology for some reason, claiming that the medical applications of such could radically extend life, but only be accessible to the rich. His analogy was that "Bill Gates might be able to live practically forever by replacing parts of his body with nano-tech replacements". Hmm... sounds like this
