If I remember correctly there were scenes with Kevin Costner and the little boy that were shot in the streets of Steveston. I recognize the gas station and a restaurant. I want to say the antique shop scene was also shot here. The amusment park scene was in Vancouver, and there was a roadside hotel, that I believe was in Surrey. It was shot in a few areas other than Vancouver as well.
