A sad day..... by radiowave9112004-03-17 16:40:38
  my condolences... it's always sad to loose by dire_lobo 2004-03-17 16:54:20
a pet that has been part of the family. Having done the same difficult duty on a number of occasions, I know how hard it is, and how emotionally draining it can be. But you did the right thing, and you can take some comfort in that - and in the fact that she was with you for so long.

Have a talk with your daughter... while the whole concept of death isn't one a seven year old can readily grasp, but you may be very surprised at how much a child that age actually understands, and how wise they can be... it also helps them learn and accept the whole "circle of life" thing, and they can begin to accept and be more comfortable with, what is for all of us, typically the most difficult and unfomfortable part of life to come to terms with...

again, my condolences, and from the sound of it, she returned your love and affection - that's all we can ask of anything or anyone that we love. {{{radiowave911 and family}}}
