I had a grey & white Maine Coon that got to 30 lbs. He could put his front paws on the kitchen table if he wanted, but his torso wasn't that long. Diet took his weight down to a little over 20 lbs. And yeah, I think having him around when I hit my teens had a significant effect on my personality. He'd just as soon cuddle up with me as pounce on me in the halls, or the bed, or the shower, or ... ;-p Very playful cat, very talkative, and also very loyal.
