You mean when you're dead and not in control of your location, other than if you haven't tapped out or been obliterated yet? Or do you mean when you are in the visitor mode? Either way, those don't match standing alive in your spawn.

Calling it "passive action" doesn't mean you aren't still helping your team win. Thus, you should still be eligible for being shot. Hiding in your spawn from CONSIDERATE UFies (you missed that part, it seems) is CHEATING.

And the far spawn on the beach is not protected at all, since it is purely up to you if you spawn there. Actually, the near spawn doesn't seem to be protected, either, and I now have to ask everyone why that is. Hmm...
