is pathologically incapable of responding to specific topics or within context. His usual methods of dealing with dissent are to bring up some sort of real or imagined dirt on the other side of the spectrum, deflecting away from any hope of actually discussing and learning or to build up a strawman and then pat himself on the back for knocking it down (like this sentence just did for me, thankyouverymuch).

IOW, it's pointless to dissuade a charging pig. Even if you stop him in time, the mud on his back will fling forward by intertia.
